Growing note
Takes closer to three months to head up, noticeably longer than most container vegetables, and does better started as a seedling in a tray than sown straight into its final pot. Give it a 10-12 inch container per head and keep the soil steadily moist once the head starts forming; a pot that dries out and then gets soaked heavily tends to split the head.
